For Machu Picchu, book at least a few weeks ahead, and two to three months ahead for the high season (May to September), since entrance tickets and trains are limited. The Classic Inca Trail needs 4 to 6 months because permits sell out. Amazon trips and day tours in Cusco are usually easier to arrange at shorter notice.

The dry season, from about April to October, brings sunny days and cold nights and is the most popular time to travel. From November to March it rains more often, but the landscapes are green and there are fewer visitors. The Classic Inca Trail is closed every February for maintenance.

Yes. Machu Picchu tickets, trains and Inca Trail permits are issued with your passport details, and you must show the original passport at the entrance. Please send us your details exactly as they appear in your passport when you book.
