About these terms
These terms apply to every trip booked with Tika Ecological, a travel agency based in Cusco, Peru, and to the use of this website. By confirming a booking with us, you accept them. If anything is unclear, write to us on WhatsApp (+51 974 204 606) or at reservas@tikaecological.com before you book.
Quotes, bookings and payments
We do not sell trips online. Tell us your dates and interests by WhatsApp, email or the contact form, and we will send you a personalised quote with the itinerary, what is included and the price.
Your booking is confirmed once you accept the quote in writing and pay the deposit stated in it. The quote also sets out the payment methods, when the balance is due and the cancellation conditions for that trip.
Some services, such as Machu Picchu tickets, Inca Trail permits and train seats, are bought in your name with your passport details. These permits are limited and are usually non-refundable and non-transferable, so please check that the names and passport numbers you send us are correct.
Changes, safety and responsibilities
Travel in the Andes and the Amazon depends on the weather, road and river conditions and decisions by local authorities. If something outside our control affects your trip, we will adjust the route, the order of activities or the accommodation, choosing options of similar quality and always putting your safety first.
You are responsible for having a valid passport, any visas or vaccines you need, and travel insurance that covers medical care, evacuation and cancellation. Please tell us about any health conditions, dietary needs or limited mobility before booking, and allow time to acclimatise to the altitude in Cusco before a trek.
We work with local hotels, lodges, transport companies and guides. We choose them carefully, but each one is responsible for its own services.
